Colleen M. Kelly asked 3 years ago We are planning on moving to Horta in Faial in the Azores. From all the pictures I've seen in the real estate photos the furniture that everyone seems to have is the same and definitely NOT our taste! For this reason we planned on having our furniture and vehicles shipped, however after reading your comments now we are unsure. We don't want our only choice of furniture to be the type that everyone seems to have on display in the homes. Not sure if there are furniture stores per say on the islands or if it's better to buy furniture in Portugal and have it shipped. Could you please give us your thoughts on this matter. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The good thing is that there are some very nice furniture stores in the mainland that will ship to the Azores.
