On the exam, I found it to be very fair. It is not overtly difficult nor overtly easy. I would say it is incredibly important to practice conversation, since the first section deals directly with speaking. In my case, they asked about me and why I had moved to Portugal. The grammar is fine as long as you have a good grasp of basics.
The most challenging part (for me) was the listening, so I would highly recommend that people preparing to take the A2 Portuguese test start watching TV in Portuguese. Not necessarily to understand, but to get used to the sounds of the language. With some time, they will begin to distinguish words which will make this part of the test significantly easier.
