  • The violet line is expected to transport 2270 passengers per hour.
  • The time of the whole trip from Odivelas to Loures should take about 75 minutes.
  • You will be able to transfer to the Yellow Line halfway through your ride.
  • The trains should run up to 70 km/hour in tunnels and 50 km/hour in urban areas.
  • The metro cars are expected to be from 18 to 40 meters. They should be able to transport 40 to 80 seated passengers and 100 to 230 standing.
  • There will be a lowered floor for people with accessibility issues.

But let’s be real, the best part about the Violet Line is that it will help ease the always hectic rush hour on the metro. So say goodbye to cramped trains and hello to a more comfortable commute.
