Antonio Evans Staff asked 5 years ago I am moving with Portugal with my husband who is American but I am Japanese British. Our children are both US and UK citizens and our dog is from the UK. So we are a UK family I guess. I was wondering full legality deal with various citizenships. I know Brexit will cause problems in a few months so I want to make sure we are set before the chaos. Since we are all legally allowed to be in the EU (at least till Brexit) should we begin the application for long term residency in Portugal or should assume we are going to be converted over to Portuguese residents since we will have a lease. We already have a place in Lisbon near the Alcantra area which we are very happy about and the kids will be going to Park International school. Thank you very much Blanca, your blog has really helped us. You should do some videos on your travels. We would love to learn about them and your advice.
