To most Portuguese people you will be chinese until you start speaking and they will then categorize you as American. To lots of Portuguese Americanism is actually quite exotic to them and if you are single you will have guys make plenty of passes at you. If you aren't then be prepared to be asked for "coffee". China and Portugal have a history together longer then almost any European nation. Macau being the main point of connection between the two. Many Eurasians have settled in Portugal so you should be fine. The one only issue is there is a flood of Chinese tourists in Portugal which sometimes aren't the most respectful of the country. So you may get some flack because of that. But you should be fine.
