Antonio Evans Staff asked 6 years ago Hi all, I'm visiting Lisbon for seven days and was interested in a day trip to Obidos. What would be the best way to get there from Lisbon and what would the costs be? Is there a particular day of the week to avoid etc? Any other tips are welcome too :-)

Antonio Evans Staff answered 5 years ago There is a bus from Lisboa to Obidos in Campo Grande on Avenida Republic. I think last I checked it was 10 Euro and takes about 1-hour door to door.
It's faster then the train which is 2-hours. Ridiculous I know. Portugual focused more on it's highways then it's railways.
As for days to visit any day is great. I prefer to visit Leira in the spring, summer or fall. Winter time it gets a bit cold, but what's nice very little tourists. So you can have to town to yourself (it's really small).
