Antonio Evans Staff answered 5 years ago If you go to a typical place (they will have a daily lunch menu written in marker on a board or printed on sheet in the window), you shouldn't have any issues with price. Expect if you leave the tourist area (anything around Chiado or Baixa) you will find these small places. Nothing fancy. You will pay around 10 euro each for a plate, drink and a dessert. You can find cheaper but expect around 10 for lunch. For dinner the typical places may jump to 12-15 euros for the same but not always.
In the tourist area expect lunches and dinners to be about 30-50% more expensive. A good tip is if there is a guy or gal trying to get you into a place it's a tourist trap and probably not great. We avoid these places like the plague.
If you want some more expensive places expect 20+ euros about.
