Lisbona Guida Aeroporto

How to take the subway in Lisbon Airport

Why is this so? Lisbon is inexpensive compared to most other major European capitals, it is gorgeous, è vicino a spiagge cristalline, e offre ottimo cibo e vino. It will make your arrival significantly more pleasant.

Lisbona Guida Aeroporto

Arrivare a Lisbona per l'aeroporto

Let’s discuss the multiple ways you can get from Lisbon airport to the city center:

1. Skip taxis: Not all taxi drivers speak English in Lisbon and some who do will make believe they don’t so they can go the longer way and tack on a few extra bucks to your ride. Ovviamente, not all taxi drivers are like this, but why take the chance? Un taxi vi costerà tra € 15-20

2. Take an Uber: Ubers sono grandi. Instead, walk to the car rental area – Ubers know to pick up their fares there.

3. Hire a Pickup Company: There are companies you can hire like Welcome Pickups in Lisbon that will not only pick you up, they will work with transfers, they will assist you with things to do, information and a ton more. Check reviews online to find your favorite one.

It’s pretty easy and it is CHEAP! Un viaggio in metropolitana vi costerà € 1,45

Parte ogni 20 minutes.
  • Linea 2 - Entrecampos, Sete Rios, Avenida Columbano Bordallo Pinheiro, Plaza de España, Avenida José Malhoa. Parte ogni 40 minutes.

Se si decide di prendere l'autobus, these are your choices:

  • 705 Est-Aeroporto-Roma / Areeiro
  • 722 Il London-Aeroporto-Portela
  • 744 Marquis-Aeroporto-Moscavide
  • 783 Mulberry-Aeroporto-Portela
  • 208 Cais do Sodre e Medio

7. Rent a Car: Sia chiaro. La metropolitana è eccezionale, it’s a very walkable city (except for the hills), e Uber è abbastanza affidabile. In entrambi i casi, è possibile ottenere alcune offerte incredibili. These are a few of the car rental companies you can rent from:

  • Europcar
  • guerin
  • Hertz
  • Avis
  • bilancio
  • Goldcar
  • impresa
  • Sixt

Alfama Uber 8-20 me
Cais do Sodre 25-30 me
Marchese di Pombal 20-25 me
Metro Park Nazioni 5-10 me
Rossio 25-30 me
Saldanha 20-30 me
San Sebastian 20-30 me

Alfama 24 me
Cais do Sodre 30 me
Marchese di Pombal 20-25 me
Parco delle Nazioni 5-10 me
Rossio 25-30 me
metropolitana Saldanha 20 me
Metro San Sebastian 20-25 me

How to Buy A Metro(Viva Viagem) Card

You can purchase them at the ticket machines (they have an option for English on the screen).

La scheda Viva Viagem non funziona proprio nella metropolitana di Lisbona, but also on the yellow Carris buses.

Lisbon Airport Guide – The Terminals

There are two terminals at Lisbon Airport:

    • terminale 1: Arrivals & International departures
  • terminale 2: Low-cost airlines

I LOVE Portugal and I LOVE Lisbon. I prefer it to any city in Spain anyday! I love the fact that there is no need to rent a car (I can’t be bothered with that) and that we can just walk or take the metro anywhere. This is such an extensive and helpful guide, I will be bookmarking it for my next visit to Portugal. Thanks for sharing with us!

You are a girl after my own heart. Lisbon is so easy to fall in love with. I also hate driving (and I don’t know how to drive stick – so I’m with you on not being bothered with rentals). Next time you’re in town, message me – we’ll grab a coffee.

Glad you liked them. If you plan on coming to Lisbon this fall, make sure you don’t come during the Web Summit. Prices will be much higher than usual then…so come either before or after the event.

I was thinking the exact same thing as I made this post. I’m headed back to the US in a few weeks, so I may have to do this at Newark airport. I’m kinda bummed I didn’t do this at all the other cities I visited 😉

It’s crazy. I have been coming to Lisbon for the past 5 years and each year it just gets more and more popular. This is good and bad, but the government of the city is handling the influx of tourism fairly well. If you haven’t been here yet, Consiglio vivamente una visita.
