I am looking to have a small garden (Tomatos, Cucumbers, some herbs) but I don't have an outside area in my apartment. I live in Avenidas Novas. Are there community gardens I can join?

Hi Ostrich Neck (love the name),

There are community gardens throughout the city. There is a waiting list, so you need to go to your freguesia and ask there.

There are 21 hortas urbanas (community gardens) in total as of right now in the city of Lisbon.
