Antonio Evans Staff answered 5 years ago I just asked someone from Azores this exact question! He is from Salga. He says and I quote "any time of year is great to visit Azores". The winters and summers are milder then Lisbon. So it never gets too hot or too cold.
After I pressed him a bit more he told me go in July or August so you can go kayaking and little rain. Enjoy your trip!
