They are asking for 3-months rent and showing us various houses via pictures. We have to get the apartment lease for our visa to be approved but I don't want to be scammed or stuck in a crappy lease. Any tips on the law? Can I just hire you to find me a place haha?! I love this blog. It's become my new goto resource and actually helped me with all the paperwork for the visa, the neighborhood I am targets, etc. Thank you so much :)

As per rental laws for a D7 visa you need a valid 6-month lease that is registered with the AT. This is as of 2018. 2019 the law may change.
