Before we decided to move to Lisbon, Antonio and I came here year after year. This was not a decision we came to lightly, and we spent a lot of time in Lisbon before finally deciding to become expats in Portugal. Throughout that time we could only stay 3 months at a time because of the […]
You can park outside of the city just look for the signs. The EMEL is pretty notorious so read read read the signs. No you won’t get a breakin unless the car is nice, has nice radio or you just leave your purse on the passenger seat.
Walk down the hill and hit P. Commerical, Go to Alfama from Martim Moniz by taxi. Just walk. You will enjoy yourself.
Yeah Oriente easiest. You can also blablacar it but the train is about 2.5 hours and pretty chill.
Darn. That’s a crazy long uphill itnerary. If I were you I would just Uber between the stops. The bus runs but between weather and waiting you will have a heck of time hitting all. Also the bus in the main part of the town gets really crowded on weekends.
Go up to Ericeria or Nazare. It’s warm but cooler at night. You can also get a better apartment with actual insulation.
Take a taxi or tour of Chiado and Alfama with lunch in Belem. Then run back to the boat. You will get a vibe.
Go to the mall in Benfica (Columbo) they have a Worten. If you want a cheapy just google cash converters. They have used ones under 10 euros.
Eleven in Avenida Nova is the place you want to eat. Do the lunch. It’s 35 Euros and they have a Michelin Star. Totally worth it. Splurge on the wine list.
There is Feria de Ladras in the Alfama area. And LX Factory. They also do a small Xmas market near Rossio.
Since it’s getting the colder seasons I’d suggest the north like Obidos and Fatima. The south way better in the summer.
We have hop on hop off buses. Just google the site. Check P. Commercial, Alfama, Chiado and Libertade. Once you see a place you like do a walk around. Good luck!
Eduardo VII part is the main one. They maybe do one on P. Commerical. They don’t compare to real x-mas markets. So be prepared from some warm wine, a few crepes and sausages.
Sorry for late answer but yeah it’s fine. Portugal one of the safest countries in the world. Just don’t get into a fight or disrespect people. People don’t really care. Also don’t be a tourist. Arrois is central but still a bit local. So people actually live there. Be welcome of there home. PS. You […]
There are car washes in Portugal. Use them. This sounds more like your issue then comment issue of benecar. I have rented….70+ cars in last few years here. I have had: dog throwup previous owner crash car and hid it break in Sintra All times deal with with legally and logically with the agency. Put […]
same as blablacar.com prices in my experience. But alway good to see alternatives in this market. You can also take a bus. Or as one of my friends did..walk it. You will give us a few weeks of your life. I wouldn’t suggest it.
